Bryan Boyd
President & CEO
Mr. Boyd has served as our President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors since December 2000.
He initiated and led the development of the company's Broadband wireless business model and managed its roll-out to 46 markets across Canada. Mr. Boyd has over 20 years of experience in the Internet and Telecommunications industries with over 15 years in executive leadership positions.
Mr. Boyd is a graduate of Queen’s University (Kingston), having received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering.
Scott Browne
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Browne joined TeraGo in October 2008 in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer bringing with him more than 15 years of financial management experience in the high tech and telecom sectors.
Prior to joining TeraGo, Mr. Browne worked at Bell Canada and BCE which included roles as Vice President of New Ventures and Vice President of VoIP Business and Financial Performance, with responsibility for identifying, creating and managing new businesses for Bell Canada. Mr. Browne also served as Chief Financial Officer for Nextair Inc. where he was responsible for all financial and administrative functions for the TSX-listed company. Additionally he has held senior roles at AT&T Canada and Netcom Canada Inc.
Mr. Browne holds a Masters in Business Administration from York University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
Jim Nikopoulos
Vice President, Corporate Development & General Counsel
Mr. Nikopoulos is a member of the executive team responsible for overseeing strategic and regulatory initiatives and advising all business units across Canada.
Mr. Nikopoulos was formerly a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, a major Canadian business law firm, where he practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, and general corporate and commercial law. He acted as counsel for a number of large public and private companies, boards of directors and controlling shareholders involved in acquisitions, divestitures, take-over bids, initial public offerings, strategic alliances, corporate reorganizations, going private transactions, spin off transactions, private equity financings, corporate finance and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Nikopoulos holds a B.A. (Honours) in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. He also serves on the board of directors of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) and several other charitable organizations.
Kevin Hickey
Vice President, Engineering and Operations
As Vice President of Engineering and Operations for TeraGo Networks, Kevin Hickey is responsible for overseeing all areas of operations at TeraGo, including engineering, provisioning, network operations and customer service.
Mr. Hickey has spent nearly 30 years in the telecom sector in Canada, Europe, and the United States. Prior to joining TeraGo Networks, he was Senior Vice President, Network & Technical Operations for Primus Canada, an alternative communications carrier in Canada and Senior Vice President, Network & Operations for Maxlink Communications, a fixed wireless carrier licensed in the 28 Ghz band in Canada. He also served as Vice President Customer Service for AT&T-Unisource, a pan-European joint venture providing voice and data services.
Mr. Hickey has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Iowa State University.
Allan Laudersmith
Vice President, Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Allan Laudersmith is responsible for defining, and executing against TeraGo’s growth commitments nationally (40+ markets across Canada). There are three distinct channels within his sales organization that service Canadian business : Direct sales, Inside Sales and Alternate Channels.
Mr. Laudersmith has spent over 20 years in the IT and Telecom space in Canada and abroad. With a variety of sales, sales development and senior management roles across IBM, AT&T, Research In Motion and Bell, he has been recognized on a number of occasions for his sales, coaching and leadership experience. Mr. Laudersmith joined TeraGo in March 2007 as the Regional Sales Manager – West, and proceeded to redefine success for his team. He was rewarded with 3 consecutive President Club awards as the top RSM nationally. In July 2010, Mr. Laudersmith was promoted to Vice President of Sales.
Mr. Laudersmith has a B.A. in French from Laval University.
Tara Talbot
Vice President, Human Resources
As Vice President of Human Resources, Tara Talbot is responsible for all of TeraGo’s Human Resources. Mrs. Talbot joined TeraGo in May 2007, she has over 15 years HR experience spanning entertainment, heathcare and over 10 years in Telecommunications specific human resources. Prior to joining TeraGo Networks, she was Director, Human Resources at Rogers Canada a multi –billion dollar Canadian telecommunications company. In addition, Tara supports and provides leadership for multiple charities and organizations. Tara has an MBA from Royal Roads University, a BA from McMaster and is a graduate of the Shulich school of business.
